An arrow you can see, and two kinds of maple leaf

The position dot was hidden under the route line; it is now an arrow drawn on top of everything, and it sticks to the road. The Canadian-owned list nearly doubled and now distinguishes confirmed ownership from Canadian roots.

Most of this build is about the blue-dot problem and the maple leaf list.

Fixed: you can actually see where you are

The dot marking your position was being drawn underneath the green route line, which hid it for most of a trip. It is now drawn on top of everything, so it cannot happen again.

New: it is an arrow now, not a dot

A white arrow on a red disc, pointing the way you are facing. Much easier to tell at a glance which way you are about to go.

New: the arrow sticks to the road

Your position used to wander a few metres off the road, because that is what phone GPS does. The arrow now snaps to the route line when it is close to it, and eases back to the real position if you genuinely leave the route.

New: travel as a goose

There is a switch in Settings. It replaces the arrow with a Canada goose seen from above. That is the whole feature. It is off unless you turn it on.

The list went from 381 businesses to 579, with a lot more coverage in Quebec, Atlantic Canada, the Prairies and BC.

A solid leaf means Canadian-owned and Canadian-controlled.
A hollow leaf means a Canadian head office or Canadian roots, but ownership that is foreign, mixed, or that we could not confirm.

Some of these will surprise you, and they are meant to. Tim Hortons is a hollow leaf now: Restaurant Brands International is incorporated in Canada, but its own annual report gives its head office as Miami, and Brazil's 3G Capital is its largest shareholder. Roots, Canada Goose, Lululemon, Rona, Staples Canada and MEC are hollow for similar reasons.

We also removed twelve. The biggest cause was Sunoco buying Parkland in October 2025, which quietly took Ultramar, Pioneer, Fas Gas, On the Run and M&M Food Market out of Canadian hands.

Opening a place used to sit there for up to twenty seconds before showing its hours. The app now fetches details for everything in your search results at once, so by the time you tap a result the hours, accessibility and amenities are usually already there.

Live charger availability is off until our data plan is updated.
CarPlay is built but waiting on Apple's approval.
Transit directions are not in the app and are not planned for launch.
