Release notes · September 2, 2026 · iOS build 8
A green route, place cards and the first maple leaves
The route line turns green so traffic colours can sit on top of it, tapping a result opens a card with hours and amenities, and Canadian-owned businesses get a maple leaf.
This build changes how routes look and adds business details to search.
New: the route line is green
The line is now the same green as the CLEAR badge, so the line and the labels finally agree. Slow traffic on your route draws in yellow, stopped traffic in red, and closures in red stripes. Other route options are grey.
This one came from a tester who told us the red route line hid the red and orange traffic on the roads underneath it. Thank you for that one.
New: tap a search result to open its card
Tapping a place now opens a card with what we know about it before you commit to driving there: opening hours, whether it is open right now, wheelchair access, drive-thru, takeout, patio, Wi-Fi, phone and website. Tap "All hours" for the whole week, then press Directions.
In a hurry? The arrow button on the right of any search row skips the card and goes straight to the route.
Details come from OpenStreetMap and coverage is patchy. Tell us any place where the hours are wrong or missing, and we will look at the source.
New: maple leaf on Canadian-owned businesses
Search results, saved places and the destination card show a red maple leaf when the business is Canadian-owned. The list covers 381 brands today. Turn it off in Settings. Home and Work never show a leaf, since those are your own labels.
New: the destination is a red pin
The square marker is now a Maple Red location pin. Easier to spot on a busy map.
New: better quick filters
Gas, Charging and Parking now search by category around you instead of by name, so results are actually nearby. Charging stations list their connectors and power, for example "CCS 50 kW, J1772 7 kW".
Fixed
- The route now frames properly on screen instead of failing to fit.
Known gaps
- Live charger availability is off until our data plan is updated.
- CarPlay is built but waiting on Apple's approval.
- Transit directions are not in the app and are not planned for launch.
